Pastor Larry Crabtree

Lead Pastor

Pastor Larry Crabtree has served in full time pastoral ministry for over 40 years, including 20 years right here in Southern Maryland. He holds a Bible degree from Cairn University, formerly Philadelphia College of Bible, where he met his wife, Kim, and a Master of Ministry degree from Capital Bible Seminary.

Pastor Larry has a deep love for teaching God’s Word in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy to understand, helping people see how Scripture speaks into everyday life. In addition to pastoral ministry, he has served as a law enforcement chaplain for more than 30 years and currently ministers with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police.

Pastor Larry looks forward to getting to know you and your family and walking alongside you as you grow in your relationship with Jesus. He is excited about how God is at work and would be honored to encourage and bless your life as you join us on this journey of knowing Christ more deeply.

Pastor Felipe (Phil) Coffman

Elder

Felipe “Phil” Coffman serves as an Elder at Calvert Community Church. He is passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with Christ, cultivating strong biblical community, and equipping the next generation for discipleship and service.

With more than 15 years of ministry experience, Phil has served in a variety of pastoral roles, including Pastor, Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Assistant Pastor at several churches. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Elementary Education from Washington Bible College and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Baptist Bible Seminary.

Phil especially enjoys teaching God’s Word, encouraging families, and supporting the mission and ministry of the local church.

What is it like?

Our services are welcoming, Bible-centered, and focused on helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus. You can expect heartfelt worship, practical teaching from Scripture, and a friendly community where everyone is welcome.

What about my kids?

We love families! We offer a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn about God at their level. Our team is committed to creating a secure and caring experience for every child.

Where do I park?

Parking is available near the church building, and our team will be happy to help direct you when you arrive. If you need assistance, feel free to ask one of our welcome team members.

What do I wear?

Come as you are. Some people dress casually while others dress more formally — either way, you’ll fit right in. We care more about you being here than what you wear.
